Trivandrum has a vibrant and eclectic cultural scene. This is an attempt to showcase through photographs some of the events to give a flavour to the common man - not the cognoscenti. I will also post some curious views of Trivandrum which may even be a 'culture shock'! Pacman sunset

Anyone remember Pac-man, one of the early computer and video games? The circular PacMan with a wide mouth chomps pellets through a maze, while avoiding enemies who pop up at random.
This setting sun captured from a hillock on Kunnumpuram near Kovalam resembles the Pac-Man.

Kovalam Tourist Village

I was excited when I heard that the Kovalam Tourist Village was modeled on the lines the Delhi haat. However, I was in for a major disappointment. The village was pathetic and not worth the trouble.

There are a handful of stalls selling the usual products of 'Kudumbasree units. The few food stalls offer predictable Kerala fare withe hardly any choice. No wonder there were only a handful of visitors even on a weekend. Worth giving a go by till there is substantial improvement.
