Cultural Scene in Thiruvananthapuram, Capital of God's Own Country

Trivandrum has a vibrant and eclectic cultural scene. This is an attempt to showcase through photographs some of the events to give a flavour to the common man - not the cognoscenti. I will also post some curious views of Trivandrum which may even be a 'culture shock'! You will find that recently, I have been adding some snippets from the city not necessarily related to culture but give a holistic view of the life in this city.

Some scenes from Onam 2013 at Thiruvananthapuram

The eateries have no respite. A wayside foodstall workers near the Secretariat getting the parathas ready.

A large pookkalam at Jagathy roadsid, put up by some boys.

A mini studio stall at the beach complete with a Nikon D 3100 camera, props and instant prinitng. The owner even offered to take my picture with my camera.

A decorated autorikshaw at Shankhumugham. Most autorikshaws are normally off the street during the Onam week.
